Miscellaneous
- Thomas is alive in 1900 but 1910, his wife Arminda (Minnie) has married again and has their children living with her. The census has an M2 listed in her marital status column, indicating her marriage to Clarence Orr is her second one. I’m not entirely ruling out a divorce, but the odds are that Thomas has passed away because Arminda remarries around 1904.
- It’s said in the family that Minnie had a child out of wedlock that was adopted by her mother and stepfather, Minnie and Clarence Orr. This is supported by the appearance of a Russell Orr in the 1920 and 1930 census with her parents. I have not yet located a birth certificate to verify this but I am working on it.
